Veiled Wire — secure banking instructions, send with confidence

Your customers shouldn't have to guess if a wire instruction is real.

Veiled Wire replaces the emailed PDF with a verified, one-time link. Every instruction is veiled the moment it's created, every viewer confirms who they are, and every open is logged — so payment fraud never gets a foothold in your invoice.

7-day free trial. A payment method is required to begin, and you will not be charged until the trial ends.

Fraud doesn't break in.
It gets invited.

Most wire fraud doesn't involve hacking a bank. It involves a convincing email, a slightly altered PDF, and a finance team that had no way to tell the difference before the money moved.

The instruction is the weak point, not the wire

Banks and payment rails are hardened. What's left exposed is the plain email or attached PDF that tells your customer where the money should go — and anyone who intercepts it can quietly change one field.

Sent by email invites fraud

  • Anyone with inbox access can read or forward it indefinitely.
  • A forwarded or spoofed copy is indistinguishable from the original.
  • No way to confirm who actually opened it, or when.
  • If details are wrong, you usually find out after the wire clears.

Sent through Veiled Wire

  • Encrypted the instant it's created; readable only after verification.
  • Opens once, then closes itself — nothing to forward or screenshot later.
  • Every verification attempt and view is time-stamped automatically.
  • Changed bank details are flagged before either side can act on them.

How it works

One simple click by you creates a four-step veiling process that encrypts your banking instructions and securely sends them to the customer who needs them.

Add the instructions
We veil them
Your customer verifies
You see everything
01

Add the instructions

Type or paste your bank details into Veiled Wire once. Nothing is emailed or attached to an invoice.

02

We veil them

Veiled Wire encrypts the instruction with AES-256, using a key held in a separate key vault, then issues a single-use link.

03

Your customer verifies

They open the link and confirm a one-time code sent to the phone number already on file for their account.

04

Every step is logged

Every veil, code sent, verification attempt, and view is recorded with a timestamp. The log never holds banking details.

Try it yourself

This is a working demo of the veil-and-verify flow. It runs entirely in your browser, using real encryption — nothing you type here is sent anywhere.

Step 1 · You (the sender)
Verification code sent by SMS to the recipient's phone on file: — — — — — —
Step 2 · Your customer (the recipient)
Waiting for a veiled instruction to arrive…

In production, the key never travels with the link the way it does in this simplified demo. It stays in a separate key vault, and decryption is requested only after identity verification succeeds.

Built the way banks build things

Veiled Wire never moves money. It protects the six or seven numbers that tell your customer where their money should go.

Strong encryption

Every instruction is encrypted with AES-256 the moment it's created. The key stays in a separate key vault, never in our database or alongside the link.

Verified recipients

Viewers confirm a one-time code sent to the phone number already on file — not whatever inbox happened to receive the email.

One-time, expiring links

Each link opens exactly once and expires after 72 hours, whichever comes first. Nothing to forward, screenshot, or reuse.

Activity log

Every veil, code sent, verification attempt, view, and expiration is time-stamped. The log holds no banking details.

Erased after use

Once a link is viewed or expires, the encrypted copy is erased from our database. Only a record that the instruction existed remains.

Independently tested

Our website scores A+ on the HTTP Observatory and Security Headers scans, and we run on services with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits. See Security & Trust →

Questions finance teams ask first

Does Veiled Wire connect to my accounting software?+

No, and that's on purpose. Veiled Wire doesn't link to your accounting software, your email or your bank accounts. Every connection to another system is one more door a criminal could try. You type your banking details straight into Veiled Wire, they're veiled right away, and they stay separate from everything else. It works alongside whatever software you already use.

Why can't I just send a PDF by email?+

A PDF (Portable Document Format file) sitting in an inbox can be read, forwarded or changed by anyone who gets into that inbox, for as long as it sits there. Criminals also send fake PDFs that look exactly like yours, and your customer has no way to tell them apart. With Veiled Wire, your customer must verify with a code sent to their phone. They see the details once, and then the details are erased.

Can I upload a PDF to be encrypted?+

Yes, on Veil Unlimited. You can attach a PDF (up to 10 MB) to a Veil. Veiled Wire checks it for scripts and hidden content, encrypts it before storing it, and your customer can download it only after entering the code texted to their phone. It is deleted when the link’s 72 hours end. For security, you still enter the routing or SWIFT number and the account number, so Veiled Wire can catch a mistyped routing number. On Veil 50, you type the banking details into a short form: bank name, routing or SWIFT code, account number and name on the account.

How complicated is this?+

Not at all. There's nothing to install. You log in, choose your customer, fill in the banking details and click “Veil and send.” Your customer clicks the link in their email, enters the code texted to their phone, and sees the details. They don't need an account.

How secure are you?+

Very, and we built it that way from the ground up. Your login needs a password and a code from your phone. Your banking details are scrambled the moment you click Veil and pass through five separate systems, so no single one holds everything. Your customer must prove who they are before seeing anything, and the details are erased once they're viewed. See exactly how we protect you →

Can small businesses use this?+

Yes. Veiled Wire was built for small businesses. There's no IT (information technology) team or special equipment needed, just a simple monthly plan. Try it free for 7 days, and cancel anytime.

What if my customer can't get text messages?+

On Veil Unlimited and during your free trial, your customer can choose a phone call instead and hear the code spoken aloud. That works with landlines too.

Can Veiled Wire read our bank details?+

Your details are scrambled the moment you click Veil, and the key that unscrambles them is kept in a separate key vault. Our system unscrambles them only for your verified customer, shows them once, and then erases them. An attached PDF is encrypted the same way and deleted when the link’s 72 hours end.

What happens if a link is never opened?+

It expires after 72 hours, and the scrambled details are erased. If your customer still needs them, send a new one from your dashboard.

Is Veiled Wire a bank or money transmitter?+

No. Veiled Wire never holds or moves money. It protects the instructions that tell your customer where to send a wire or ACH (Automated Clearing House) payment.
