This Privacy Policy explains how Veiled Wire, LLC ("Veiled Wire," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our service at veiledwire.com (the "Service"). Veiled Wire, LLC is the controller of the personal data we collect about account holders (such as their name, email, and billing details). For recipient information and banking instructions that a customer submits to the Service, the customer decides what is sent and to whom, and we process that information on the customer's behalf.
We collect only what's needed to operate the Service:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your banking instruction data for advertising or analytics.
Each secure link can be used once and expires 72 hours after it is created. Banking details are stored only in encrypted form, and only until the instruction is viewed or expires. Any attached PDF is kept only until the link expires. At that point the encrypted banking details and any attached PDF are erased, and the instruction can no longer be opened through the Service. We keep a record that each instruction existed (who sent it, to whom, when, and its activity log, none of which includes banking details), along with account and recipient information and billing records, for as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, including legal, accounting, security, and fraud-prevention purposes. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see Your rights).
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to receive a copy of it, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@veiledwire.com. If you received a Veiled instruction and want to make a request, contact us or the business that sent it. We aim to respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Banking instruction data and attached PDF files are encrypted using AES-256 encryption, each file with its own key. The encryption key is held in a separate key-management service and is never stored in our database, and our system requests decryption only after a recipient completes identity verification by text message or phone call. All data in transit is protected using TLS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's session storage to keep you signed in while you use the Service. Our payment processor may set cookies that are needed to process payments and prevent fraud. Our pages load fonts from a third-party font service, which receives your IP address when you visit.
The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
